Enhancing knowledge of the Circular Economy through an intuitive user experience
Enel X, in partnership with CESI and ICMQ, launched the Circular Evolution™ program to share and spread the principles of the circular economy. The task was to create a website that would highlight this initiative, effectively communicating the mission and innovative potential of the program. The main goal was to ensure a clear and engaging informational platform that could educate and inspire organizations interested in sustainability and align with the energetic and innovative vision of Enel X.
Challenge
Creating an Engaging Platform for a Complex Service Offering
The primary challenge was translating the complexity of the services offered by Circular Evolution™ into a website that would be accessible and engaging for diverse users, from companies to public administrations. We needed to strike a balance between moderndesign and simple navigation, preventing users from becoming lost among multiple pieces of information on certification schemes and sustainability metrics. Also, the need to combine site performance with an intuitive content management system for the Enel X team required a well-considered technical choice balancing speed and flexibility.
Solution
An innovative design with optimal performance and simplified content management
We designed the site starting from a UX Research phase, analyzing best design practices for users focused on sustainability. The initial wireframes guided the development of an intuitive and streamlined interface, integrating animated elements to make the experience more dynamic. For the front-end, we chose React.js, ensuring high performance and a separate management from the back-end. The back-end, built on WordPress, enables the Enel X team to autonomously manage content, keeping the site up-to-date. The combination of React.js and WordPress provided the project with flexibility and an optimal user experience.
